Does your marketing suck?

Many think marketing is only about creating dope content and getting your friends and family to share it. That’s a sad reality in today’s business world; because no one is obligated to share your shit. We sit daily and see folks post memes and quotes about not getting the support needed to succeed. DING DONG - your success is on YOU. Unless you’ve hired an entire marketing team responsible for handling your marketing, STOP blaming the lack of shares as the reason your business isn’t successful. Get to the root of the issue - why aren’t people sharing your posts?

Marketing is more significant than sharing content, and I will share a few with you in this blog post. If you are lost and have no clue what I am talking about as you keep reading - your next step should consist of booking a free consultation so that we can get you on the right path.

  • Target Audience - Reduce the pool of your buyers down to a manageable and trackable size. Who are you aiming at?

    • Gender, Age, Income Level, Race, Education Level, Religion, Martial Status, and geographic location

  • Buyer Persona - Understand your consumer; fictional representations of your ideal customer.

    • What does your typical buyer look like?

      • Identifiers, Goals, Challenges, Common/Typical Objections

      • The most critical component of a buyer’s persona is understanding what problem your business solves.

  • Quality - Is your post worth sharing? How many times are you posting?

    • Visually appealing - Does your post look good on a phone and computer?

      • Do the colors look good together? Is your text legible? Does your logo look like it was made in MS paint?

    • Do you have a brand identity?

      • Color schemes, consistent font, standardized image and logo sizing

    • Picture quality? Is it there?

      • Is it grainy? Does it showcase your product or service? Do your pictures look like you edited them in pic collage?

  • Quantity - Do you know when your target market is online and active?

    • How often are you posting?

    • Do your posting times make sense?

    • Are you OVER SATURATING? (Trust me, we get sick and MFN tired of seeing your raggedy ass ads (posts that aren’t actual ads).

I literally could go on for days about marketing, but I will leave you with this: Get your shit together and stop blaming everyone else for your shortcomings when it comes to your business. There are tools and resources to make this simple or at least streamlined. Oh, I forgot they aren’t sharing your posts, so your business isn’t generating any money; thus, you can’t afford to pay for a service. Stop making excuses, if you want to be a boss, you have to roll like a boss, and a boss knows when spending money is an investment versus spending money on dumb shit.

Also, for those that think I am giving away the game - OF COURSE! I don’t gatekeep information; just because I give it to them doesn’t mean they know what to do with it, or how to use it!

Peace and Love,

Sachiko
